Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!

IFES is a great place to learn and we are excited to be welcoming our new third grade students, while we welcome back our fourth and fifth grade students. If you are new to the district – Welcome – to you as well! We are fortunate to have a beautiful facility to come to every day. We are also very fortunate to have amazing staff members at IFES to support all of our students as they learn and grow academically and socially.

The staff at IFES, and I, are dedicated to working with students and their families as a team so that each child has the opportunity to perform to his/her greatest potential. Together, we will strive to create a safe learning environment in which this can happen.

I encourage you, the families of IFES, to be as involved in this educational journey as possible, as your support is extremely important to your child’s success.

We are lucky to have a very active PTO here at Iron Forge. The South Middleton PTO serves all elementary students (Grades K – 5), by sponsoring activities like the annual May fair, Breakfast with Santa, and the Secret Santa Shop. The PTO also generously provides financial support when needed for things like classroom activities and field trips. The PTO is a great way to get involved and in-the-know with what’s going on at school.

I welcome the opportunity to tell you more about all the wonderful things going on here at IFES. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information or have questions in regard to the upcoming school year.

I am thrilled to be a part of the IFES team and I look forward to a safe, healthy, and successful 2017-2018 school year for all of our students!

Mrs. Trisha Reed, Principal
