🚗🚗End of Day Pick-up at Iron Forge Elementary School 🚗🚗

• If your student is picked up daily or on a regular basis, please complete this form so that you will be assigned a car tag from the IFES office; tags can be picked up at Meet the Teacher or will be distributed on the first day of school
•  If your child is being picked up one time or sporadically, please inform the office as early in the day as possible so that the student and teachers can be notified; a note or phone call to the office are preferred, or emails should cc: [email protected], [email protected], and classroom teachers; for changes after 2:30 p.m. please CALL THE OFFICE (717-258-6484)
•  When you arrive at IFES for student dismissal, you should enter campus via Springville Road, come down the hill from the high school and loop around the IFES gymnasium parking lot (see map below). Make sure your car tag is visible. You will be directed into the horseshoe loop near the office no earlier than 3:25* Cars should pull all the way around the loop to the stop sign. Leave as little room as possible between cars (no need to leave crosswalks clear).
•  Students will be dismissed from their classrooms at 3:30 and make their way to the gym lobby, so you will not see students begin to exit until several minutes later*
•  Students are dismissed from the building once cars have filled the loop and stopped; we ask that they WALK on the sidewalk and then enter on the passenger side, if possible
• It typically takes two-three cycles for all students to be dismissed; this process is usually completed by 3:40ish (after the first week of getting used to the expectations)
• Drivers in the line should stay alert, follow these guidelines, and refrain from driving around other cars. The safety of our students is our first priority

*for these reasons, there is no need to arrive earlier than 3:20*
